Panda 1 Kilo Silver Coins

Friday, July 9, 2010

At long last - the wait is over!! The People's Bank of China has just released the 2009 Panda Silver Brilliant Uncirculated legal tender coins. Every year excitement and buzz builds surrounding the design of the new Panda coin, and this year has been no exception. The beautiful designs of the 2009 Panda Silver coins have made the wait worthwhile. These coins are 99.9% pure silver - and are now available to collectors who are assembling date sets, and to silver bullion buyers who expect a continuation of the current desire for silver in the market.

The 2009 Panda coins keep the traditional obverse design that has been the hallmark of this great series, featuring the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, the title of the People's Republic of China, and the year of issuance. The reverse design features 2 baby pandas, sitting and eating in a field of bamboo. The face value of 10 Yuan & purity level of 99.9% are also prominently displayed on the bottom of the reverse.

The 1-ounce Silver Pandas from 2009 are issued with a maximum authorized mintage of 600,000. Click here to view & buy these coins for only $27!!

In the past year, the combination of scarcity and popularity has pushed the prices of many past Panda issues well above their bullion value. In fact, many of you will know that the 2008 Panda gold and silver coins reached their maximum mintages in October of 2008, forcing any collectors who hadn't already purchased their Panda coins to go through the secondary market and pay higher premiums for the coins. Avoid paying more later and purchase your 2009 silver Panda coins NOW at the introductory price before they also increase in price! The 2009 Silver 1-ounce Pandas are now available from Panda America.

The 2009 1 Kilo Panda Silver Coin has a mintage of only 4000 pieces, and consists of 1 kilogram of .999 pure silver. The 2009 5-ounce Panda Silver Coin has a mintage of 10,000 and consists of 5 ounces of .999 pure silver. These Panda coins have the same obverse design, featuring the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, the title of the People's Republic of China, and the year of issuance, 2009. Both coins will have the same reverse design that is shown on the 1 ounce Panda Silver coin: two baby pandas, sitting and eating their favorite food - bamboo, plus the face value for each respective size.

The coin looks cute and very interesting. A closer look with the coin seems like a good idea.
